On the 3rd of July, we took part in a "flea market" (rommelmarkt) in Kortrijk to raise money for our trip to Australia. It was a hot, sunny day! It was good practice for the heat we can expect when we visit Australia in February 2016, which happens to be summertime there!
We made people happy with our little treasures and raised more than 200 Euro selling our old stuff! We plan to take part in more flea markets, so feel free to donate items that you don't need anymore. They might make someone else happy and they could add to our funds :-). As the English expression says: "one man's garbage is another's gold" or "one man's trash is another man's treasure".
From 6 to 20 February, Ten of our students will be visiting South West Australia as a result of the Centenary School Link Program. Our main goal is to learn more about the sacrifices that were made during the First World War. Moreover they will also experience the Australian culture and nature first-hand. Keep an eye on the blog to follow their adventures.
