We will remember them

11 November - Remembrance Day

you couldn't hear the sound of rifles anymore
merely the dead silence that remained
no bodies in the trenches
no munition on the muddy floor 
no shouting pleads for help
nothing more 
nothing less
but freedom

the one you fought for
the one you deserve 
and cherish 'till this day
freedom of life
paid with so many countless lifes
and indescribable pride

in Passchendaele, Ypres, Fromelles and others more you may rest
cause no true act of braveness shall be forgotten
no hint of doubt the loyal will be recalled 
for alive we are
