We all met on Saturday morning at 4.45 A.M. at the station. The
train to Brussels Airport left at 5.06 A.M., so we had to say goodbye to our
parents. It was a difficult moment to leave them behind but everyone was
excited to go to Australia. After 1.30h laughing on the train we arrived at the
airport. We checked us and our bags in. Then we ate a snack and got ready to go
through customs. After we got through we went to our gate and waited until we
were allowed to board the plane. After we discussed our seats we got ready for
a 7 hour flight to Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi we went to the transfer gate. We had
to wait for 2 hours but there was a delay so it was an hour more. This time we
were ready for a journey of 10 hours and a half. The meals on the plane were
very tasty, stewards were very nice and friendly. The last hour of the flight
we were very excited because we were almost at our destination. Then we landed
and got to our luggage. Then we went to get the car keys. The teachers figured
out how to drive on the left side of the road and we tried to figure out how
the satnav worked-I don’t want to go into detail but it was a disaster. After we
figured out how the car work we
went to get drinks at Mcdonalds; then we tried to find our way to the hotel and
got lost, but after a while we found it. Unfortunatly the wi-fi wasn’t good enough
so we couldn’t skype with our parents. We all took a shower. At around 8.30 we
went outside to find some food and after walking around for a while we settled
for Mexican food. After that we went back to the hotel and here we are now
writing a text to go on the blog and then we are all going to bed and finally
get a good night sleep.
