14 February 2016

Yesterday the 14th February (on Valentine’s Day) we again had to wake up really early, at 7am. We had to be at Yallingup at 9am, and the reason it had to be that early was because it’s easier for us to get a tour in the caves because it was calmer if we were alone. The guide was very friendly and he showed us how the people used to live in the Aboriginal culture. On our way to the caves he showed us which plants they used as medicine, we just screamed because we saw a spider being attacked by a wasp. The guide, Josh, thought that it was really funny to see!

He then took us into the caves and talked about the history of it and also told us a story about his family background.   He also played a song for us with the Didgeridoo, which was really beautifully done.
We got 30 minutes free in the caves and, oh, it was so hard going up and down the stairs, but it surprised us that Prescillia wasn’t crying because of it :p .  It was so beautiful, it was amazing to see. After that we learned how to make fire and we played music with him, it was so much fun!!!!! Some of us ate Kangaroo for the first time and it was delicious, it tastes like steak. They also made us chicken, mussels and salad, we liked it!

It was very hot yesterday so we had the chance to go for a swim and we played in a huge water playground, we laughed so much, it was really funny. When we had enough of it we went to the McDo so we could steal all the WiFi, very gangster of us (except we used it to talk to our mummies and daddies). We had a drink and after we used all the Wifi we needed, we left (after 2 hours).
We cooked! Priscillia and I made spaghetti and it was a drama because we only had mini little tiny saucepans, like miniature little sauce pans and the most smallest pans in the world, no exaggerating :p So we had to cook in that and it took us like 2 hours to finish.

Diana, Ayla and Justine then did the dished and in the meantime I was taking a shower when Amandine came in and asked me where the door was.  I was really confused by what she meant but then she said the kitchen closet door was gone and she was looking everywhere for it, even under the beds. Really funny, the teachers were laughing so hard! We all were! Amandine was convinced that there used to be a door but there wasn’t. We had a good laugh about it. And so ended our night, laughing.

  1. I am glad that you had such a great trip. I am also looking for venues in NYC for get-together. Though our budget isn’t that high but we are looking for a discounted deal or bargain. Hopefully, will be able to plan things as thought!
