8 February

Today, the 8 February we woke up at 7 o’clock. Everybody was tired except Prescillia twho was already dancing in the morning. It was really hard to sleep because our ventilater didn’t work, so it was very hot in our room. When everybody was ready we took breakfast outside, we ate bread with nutella and jam.
After we ate we took the car to the King’s park. Two volunteers first indtroduced themselves and explained what we where going to do. Then they guide us in the park where we saw five different memorial plaques where we saw multiple names of soldiers who died in ww1 and ww2. We got to hear their story and their function during the war. Then there was a ceremony with students of a school in Perth. When the ceremony was over we got some free time to take pictures and to buy souvernirs.
After this we went to the beautiful ANZAC house where we ate a lovely lunch with the Australian students who played at the ceremony. We got to know them better and they were so friendly! After we finished our lovely lunch we got an interesting tour in the ANZAC house. We took a lot of pictures together and added each other on facebook. It was nice to meet some lovely new people! We said our goodbyes and went further with our day at that time it was about 46 degrees so we were cooking.

Later this afternoon we took a swim in an outside pool. After all that  sweating and boiling in the Australian sun it was marvellous to freshen up. When we were done swimming we went back to the beautiful King’s Park and watched the sun go down above the Swan River. This all while we hung out on the grass in the park. The swimming had made us hungry so when it got darker we decided to go  look for food in Perth city. It happened to be a whole conquest. There where hardly any restaurants (open). We were lucky to find a place last minute. The search was worth the wait, we sat on a beautiful terras along the lake, we ate yummy food among the city lights on a warm Perth night. It has been a good day.
